Tonight we’re headed to Camie & Erin’s house for a big Game of Thrones finale viewing party. I feel like nothing has really happened-happened this season, but of course looking back, plenty has. Big hopes for big pay-offs tonight!
Anyway, for our contribution, Dave and I put together a little charcuterie for the feast (Camie, meanwhile, will be cooking out of A Feast of Ice and Fire: The Official Game of Thrones Cookbook, because why not, leave us alone) and I figured, let’s go all out and make this a themed charcuterie, because what could be more ridiculous? So this is a memorial cheese and meat board: We’ve got two casings of Creminelli salami, one Wild Boar, the other Barolo Red Wine, for Robert Baratheon and the Starks at the Red Wedding, respectively; we’ve got some Sea Hive white cheddar from Beehive Cheese Co. for the Battle of Blackwater Bay; and we’ve got a big bowl of dried, dead fruits for dear, dear Renly. And I guess you could argue that coriander honey is an appropriate stand in for ol’ dead Ned, as they have both lost their lids.
