Last week I was in Los Angeles again to scout locations for a commercial video shoot that got cancelled 6 hours into our two-day trip. I spent the last day there working from my phone (canceling meetings, coordinating production, etc) while wandering around Melrose and Silverlake with Weston.
We had lunch with Josh at Berlin Currywurst (always a dream — if not for the delicious wurst, then for the Turkish babes working the counter) and then hit up one of my favorite shops on Sunset, Mohawk General Store. They had just opened a men’s store that day, like, six hours earlier, so we were some of the first customers in (getting there even before Nick Wooster, apparently). I picked up some stuff for my designers back home — the latest issues of Inventory and Saturdays, and four bars of Mast Brothers in the loveliest papers — and a Made on the Moon scarf for me.
